Tuesday Exercise: Balanced Forces (2013-04-30)

The Lunar Lander sim did not allow you to balance the forces, but these simulations will.

What happens when you have balanced forces? There may be more possibilities than you think!


The image/link above will take you to Mr. Montalvo's simulation called "Dock the Rocket". Use the arrow keys to briefly unbalance the forces on the rocket. Our first goal is to show an object AT REST with BALANCED FORCES. You can do this by docking the rocket without crashing.

To get credit for this exercise,

• take a screenshot of the docked rocket;
• annotate it by showing that the rocket is at rest (v=0);
• Choose File, and Submit!
